Medium + Method: Acrylic. Brush. Canvas paper (wrong side of paper for Day 72, featured above; correct side Days 73-77, featured below).
The Backstory: I’m continuing to create more permutations of the lotus flower center (by color, size, and composition). These images will then be used as part of the composite images.
The composites are evolving. I am experimenting with transparency as well as positioning, flipping the images digitally. This one contains three different renderings of lotus blossom centers.
This composite contains two different renderings of lotus blossom centers.
Medium + Method: Acrylic. Brush. Canvas paper (the wrong side again).
The Backstory: I am continuing to develop components to use as inputs into the composite photos. I realized I had not used any yellow, so I created the above and the below to this end.
Medium + Method: Acrylic. Brush. Canvas paper (wrong side of paper).
The Backstory: The blue on red lotus image was a success, so I decided to give it a shot with another color combination. I also decided to try using the back of the canvas paper again, which unfortunately buckled a fair bit under 2 layers of paint.
This composite combines lotus flowers (Days 68 and 69) and wax flowers (Day 63).
Medium + Method: Acrylic. Brush. Canvas paper.
The Backstory: This is what I meant to paint yesterday. I like yesterday’s accident better, but this will serve as input to a composite image.
